LIFE AND CAREER GOALS? A life goal I have is to remain in North Dakota. I have developed an appreciation for my home state because I have lived elsewhere frequently. Upon graduating from Dickinson State University in 2003, I quickly moved away to live in a place my family and I used to vacation in: Salt Lake City. I lived there for two years before returning to North Dakota to work on my master's degree at North Dakota State University in Fargo. I took the first job I could upon graduating at NDSU, and that job took me to Texas. I worked proudly in Texas for about six years. A highlight of my time working there was teaching at Baylor University as a lecturer. From Texas, I moved to West Virginia. There, I worked at West Virginia University. My love for North Dakota eventually brought me home. I have no intention of leaving again.

A career goal I have is to publish. I have yet to add a book, or a scholarly article to my professional list of accomplishments. I would love to write a new textbook on college writing. My textbook would be on fifty and more genres writers owe it to themselves to practice writing.
